CBD FAQ's

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of many cannabinoids found in cannabis plants (Cannabis Sativa L.). It’s found in the flowers and trichomes. Strains can be looked at as varieties and there are currently over 700 named strains in existence.

Cannabis contains many cannabinoids and two of the most well-known are Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). THC is the chemical responsible for psychoactive effects. It attaches to receptors in the brain and alters its function. This “high” is what people often associated with cannabis. But, CBD is different, it does not have psychoactive properties. It does not get you high. This article goes into this in more detail.

Cannabis is undergoing a research renaissance and there is a great deal of interest in CBD’s possible therapeutic effects for a wide range of health conditions including stress, anxiety, insomnia and ptsd. As medical science continues to study CBD its usage in the United States is on the rise.

PCR (Phytocannabinoid-Rich) hemp oil’s dominant phytocannabinoid is CBD but it also contains other essential and naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids found in the hemp plant. PCR hemp oil is THC-Free (No Tetrahydrocannabinol).

Yes. In ’18 hemp was removed from the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), which means that cannabis plants and derivatives that contain no more than 0.3 percent THC on a dry weight basis are no longer controlled substances under federal law.

Hemp is defined as “the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”

Our hemp is considered ‘industrial hemp’ and is lab-tested and compliant 100% hemp flower CBD <0.3% delta 9 THC.
